Mr. Alireza is an Executive Director of Asiya Investments Hong Kong Limited leads the Direct Investments and Joint Ventures practice. He had spearheaded the establishment of the Hong Kong entity.
Prior to joining Asiya he was with HSBC in Hong Kong, where he has been based for over 8 years. In his capacity as Associate Director, at HSBC, Mr. Alireza advised numerous corporates and governments across Asia-Pacific.
Specifically, he originated and structured transactions in the areas of project finance, debt and structured capital markets, and Islamic finance. As part of his role with HSBC, Mr. Alireza was on the working committee on Islamic finance for the governments of Hong Kong, South Korea, Thailand and the Australian Tax Office. He advised on the implementation of Islamic finance regulation in the respective countries. He has a BSc degree in Economics and Finance form Bentley University in the US.
